Malaak Compton-Rock (the wife of comedian Chris Rock) brought 30 inner city kids, ages 12 to 15, from Brooklyn, NY to Johannesburg, South Africa. It’s part of her “Journey for Change” program to empower youth through global service. The kids, many of whom have never left Brooklyn before, got to work with, help and learn from others living in difficult circumstances so far away. (RED) along with partners Dell, Converse and Hallmark are proud to support the program. As Malaak says, when “much is given, much is required.”
